Scopa Caffé Cucina in the hub of Wellington’s Cuba St district has taken out the prestigious award for The Huhtamaki Outstanding Café at the inaugural Capital Awards.
The caffé, owned by brothers Leonardo and Lorenzo Bresolin, offers an exuberant Italian style atmosphere mixed with a passion for food and wine including a menu offering traditional pizza and legendary Italian hot chocolate.
The Capital Awards were presented at a red carpet event at Paramount Cinema in March to 16 hospitality individuals or businesses in the Wellington area.
Among those honoured were Steve Logan and Al Brown who were awarded The Mojo Coffee Cartel Outstanding Contribution to Wellington Hospitality and Hannah Rogers of Milk Crate who won The Curtis McLean Outstanding Barista award.
The awards recognise the contribution the winners have made to Wellington’s reputation as having world class hospitality.
